Astonishing informations received today (19/09/2024) after meeting with Registrar, WBMC
1) Registrar Manas Chakraborty is retired WBCS officer. After retirement he was given six months extension officially. After that for approximately four years he is working without any valid extension order. He is signing all papers including Registration certificates and drawing salary from Government treasury.
2) Dr. Sandip Ghosh was served a showcause notice by him (registrar) on verbal order of President Dr Sudipta Roy, when already he was in CBI custody. Not sure whether he (Sandip Ghosh) got it in hand to reply back.
3) His (Sandip Ghosh) registration cancellation is another mockery. No written order /notice was issued by Council based on any proper meeting. It is done by verbal order from Dr Sudipta Roy , President, WBMC. This information has been passed to the media to save face and to use as a shield from public outrage.
4) One council member (Dr. Dilip Pal) is no more. That place is vacant till date. But no election is held till date.
5) For everyone’s information five council members have resigned recently.
Chairman is being interrogated by ED. There is an imminent chance that the Vice-Chairman will also be interrogated by law enforcement authorities.
4) Registrar also confirmed that three council members (Dr Sushanta Roy, Dr Koushik Biswas and Dr Tapas chakraborty) are withdrawing remuneration of Rs fifty thousand (Rs.50,000.00) per month since March 2024 which is absolutely illegal.
A Memorandum was submitted to Registrar for immediate dissolution of the west bengal medical council and conducting fresh court monitored elections.
