আপনারা সকলেই অবগত আছেন যে রাজ্যের অগণিত স্হানে , গ্রাম থেকে শহরে, গণতান্ত্রিক চেতনাসমৃদ্ধ সংবেদনশীল সহনাগরিকেরা এই শারদোৎসবের দিনে দ্রোহের আগুনে, অফুরান প্রাণশক্তিকে পাথেয় করে রাজপথে থেকেছে আপোসহীন অকুতোভয় সংগ্রামী প্রতীতির প্রতিজ্ঞাকে সাথে নিয়ে। দাবী সকলেরই এক ও অভিন্ন । “অভয়ার” প্রকৃত ন্যায়বিচার। যে কোনো মূল্যে দ্বিতীয় অভয়া ঠেকানো। দুর্নীতি আর হুমকি সংস্কৃতির সমস্ত আঁতুড়ঘর ও উৎসভূমিগুলোকে গুড়িয়ে ফেলা। ভয়হীন নিরাপদ কর্মস্থল সুনিশ্চিত করা। সরকারী পরিষেবা স্বচ্ছ ও মানুষের জন্যে নির্ঝঞ্ঝাট করা।
এই দাবী রাজ্যের তামাম চিকিৎসক সহ সমগ্র বঙ্গসমাজের। এই দাবীগুলির মর্মবস্তু নিয়েই জুনিয়র ডাক্তাররা আজ প্রায় নয়দিন ধর্মতলার ধর্ণা মঞ্চে ও উত্তরবঙ্গ মেডিকেল কলেজে আমরণ অনশনে। চারজন ইতিমধ্যেই গুরুতর অসুস্থ অবস্থায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি। সুদৃঢ় সংহতির বার্তা নিয়ে জয়েন্ট প্লাটফর্ম এর আহ্বানে সিনিয়র চিকিৎসকরা এবং প্রতিবাদী মানুষ প্রতীকি অনশনে, একদিন নয়,প্রতিদিন।
এই আবহে রাজ্য প্রশাসন অদ্ভুত ভাবে অনমনীয় ও অসংবেদনশীল। অবস্থার গভীরতাকে যথোপযুক্ত গুরুত্ব দিয়ে প্রকৃত অর্থে সদর্থক ভূমিকা গ্রহণে তাঁরা ব্যর্থ বা সচেতন ভাবে ঔদ্ধত্যের মোহগ্রস্ততায়, অমানবিক ভাবে চূড়ান্ত উদাসীন।
এই সময়ে, জয়েন্ট প্লাটফর্ম অফ ডক্টরস, তার সহযোদ্ধা অন্য একাধিক সামাজিক সংগঠনের সাথে সক্রিয় সহযোগিতায় আগামীকাল( ১৫।১০।২৪) কেন্দ্রীয় ভাবে ধর্মতলায় রাণী রাসমণি এভিনিউতে বিকেল ৪ টায় দ্রোহের কার্নিভাল সংগঠিত করতে চলেছে যা প্রতিবাদী মানুষের মুখরিত সখ্যে এক ঐতিহাসিক প্রতিবাদী ও প্রতিস্পর্ধী আন্দোলনের অনন্য স্মারক হয়ে থেকে যাবে, এ আমাদের দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস। কিন্তু এটাও সত্যি, দূরবর্তী জেলা বা মহকুমা থেকে ক্ষোভের আগুনে দগ্ধ অসংখ্য মানুষের এই কেন্দ্রীয় কার্নিভালে অংশগ্রহণ করা স্বাভাবিক কারণেই কষ্টসাধ্য।
তাই জয়েন্ট প্লাটফর্ম অফ ডক্টরস ,পঃবঙ্গ রাজ্যের সমস্ত গণতান্ত্রিক চেতনাদৃপ্ত সহ নাগরিক, সাধারণ জনগণ এবং সমস্ত সামাজিক সংগঠনের কর্মীদের কাছে আবেদন রাখছে এই যে—
আপনারা স্বকীয় এলাকায়, চিকিত্সক সহ সমস্ত পেশার স্হানীয় প্রতিনিধি, সংস্কৃতি কর্মী এবং যত বেশি সাধারণ মানুষের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণকে সুনিশ্চিত করে, এই সপ্তাহের মধ্যে, সুবিধামত দিন/ সময়/ স্হান নির্বাচন করে “দ্রোহের কার্নিভাল” , সংগঠিত করুন। গান, কবিতা, পথনাটিকা, শ্লোগান, মিছিল, প্লাকার্ড, ফেস্টুন, ঢাকি ইত্যাদির সুনিপুণ সংমিশ্রণে প্রত্যেক জেলার অধিবাসী এক অভূতপূর্ব কার্নিভালের সাক্ষী থাকুক।
স্পর্ধার এই আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়ুক মহল্লায় মহল্লায়। অভয়ার প্রকৃত বিচার না পাওয়া পর্যন্ত রাজপথ ছাড়ছি না আমরা। যুদ্ধে আছি ন্যায়ালয়ের প্রাঙ্গণেও ।অবশ্যই আপনাকে, আপনাদের পাশে পেয়ে।

Request to withdraw call for “Droher Carnival” and refrain from Demonstrations During Pujo Carnival
Dear Members of the Joint Platform of Doctors,
I write to address your organization’s call for the “Droher Carnival,” scheduled for 15th October 2024 at 4PM at Rani Rasmoni Road, Kolkata in connection with various demands of junior doctors and their ongoing hunger strike. This proposed demonstration coincides with the previously announced Pujo Carnival organized by the State Government.
As you are aware, the Hon’ble Chief Minister held a detailed discussion with the representatives of Junior Doctors on 16th September 2024, during which their concerns were addressed, and several important decisions and directives were issued. Following that meeting, the undersigned had follow-up discussions with their delegation on these matters.
You will acknowledge that in response to the demands of the Junior Doctors, the State Government has already initiated several positive interventions. A detailed Status Report outlining these steps was sent on 11th October 2024, along with a sincere request to end the hunger strike.
As you all are aware that the Pujo Carnival is a prominent event attended by thousands of citizens, along with international dignitaries who come to witness this UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Any demonstration which may coincide with this event, or misuse of the demonstration by certain elements to cause disruption during this event could pose significant safety and security concerns for the visitors.
It is also brought to your notice that the Hon’ble High Court has vide its order dated 11/10/2024 directed that “- none shall disrupt the Carnival, which the Government has organised, as a part of its yearly ritual”. A large number of participants and spectators for Carnival shall be availing different important routes especially RR Avenue, KC Das crossing, Metro Channel, Old Court House street, Dorina crossing, Mayo Road and Queens Way.
Considering that any demonstration will largely impact and cause disruption to the smooth organisation of the event and impact the Carnival adversely, which will not only be in direct violation of the directives of the Hon’ble High Court but will also cast a negative impact on the citizens of the state who are coming together to celebrate in the festivities.
As law-abiding and responsible citizens of the state, I am sure you understand that such demonstrations during the Carnival could also bring disrepute to our beloved state.
In light of these considerations, I kindly request that you withdraw the proposed programme and refrain from holding such demonstrations on 15th October 2024 during the Pujo Carnival.
Additionally, I appeal to you to advise the junior doctors to end their hunger strike in the interest of their health and well-being.
The State Government remains committed to advancing meaningful reforms in the healthcare system, working in close collaboration with all stakeholders.

Please be informed that the program will be organized according to the schedule communicated to the Commissioner of Police Kolkata, by our email dated October 11, 2024.
The concern regarding any obstruction during the Pujo Carnival is unfounded, as the area designated for the Pujo Carnival is entirely separate from our event’s location. Therefore, citing the High Court order in this context is irrelevant.
We request your cooperation in maintaining law and order throughout the scheduled program.
