WBJDF Condemns the Irresponsible Suspension of WB NEET UG Medical / Dental / MDS Counselling and Admission Process 2025!
In a bizarre and unjustified move, the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal has abruptly announced that the WB NEET UG Medical, Dental and MDS 2025 counselling and admission process will remain suspended until further orders.
This sudden decision is reckless and will directly jeopardize the future of thousands of students who have worked tirelessly and qualified through one of the most competitive national examinations. In an All-India exam like NEET, the postponement of counselling in just one state will create serious distortions and heterogeneous problems. Students from West Bengal will be left at a disadvantage compared to their peers from other states, who will move ahead with admissions while candidates from Bengal are forced to wait in uncertainty. Furthermore, this is far from a static temporal injury, as this delay will accumulate and surely culminate into a distortion of the entire curriculum, also at the expense of an entire generation of young students in this state of West Bengal.
Such arbitrary steps send out a dangerous message; that the careers and aspirations of meritorious students can be casually toyed with because of administrative indecision or failures. Instead of offering clarity and support to students, the Health Department has chosen to manufacture anxiety and confusion. This is irresponsible, unjustified, and unacceptable.
The West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front (WBJDF) demands that the Government immediately withdraw this order and resume the counselling and admission process without any delay. The lives and futures of young aspirants must not be sacrificed at the altar of bureaucratic callousness.
WBJDF stands firmly with every medical aspirant of Bengal in this critical moment. Their struggle is our struggle, and we will not remain silent when the state fails its students.

একেবারে হঠাৎ করেই স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের ডিরেক্টরেট অফ মেডিকেল এডুকেশন ঘোষণা করেছে যে, WB NEET UG মেডিকেল, ডেন্টাল ও MDS ২০২৫-এর কাউন্সেলিং এবং ভর্তির প্রক্রিয়া অনির্দিষ্টকালের জন্য বন্ধ থাকবে।
এই সিদ্ধান্ত সরাসরি হাজার হাজার ছাত্রছাত্রীর ভবিষ্যৎকে অন্ধকারে ফেলে দিল। সারা ভারতের মতোই বাংলার পরীক্ষার্থীরাও কঠিন পরিশ্রম করে NEET-এ সফল হয়েছে। কিন্তু এখন যদি শুধু বাংলাতেই কাউন্সেলিং বন্ধ থাকে, তাহলে এখানকার ছাত্রছাত্রীরা বাকি দেশের তুলনায় মারাত্মকভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়বে। ভর্তি, পড়াশোনা, পাঠ্যক্রম—সবটাই গুলিয়ে যাবে। এটা শুধু আজকের দেরি নয়, পুরো একটা প্রজন্মের ক্ষতি।
ছাত্রছাত্রীসহ সাধারণ অভিভাবকদের স্বপ্ন আর পরিশ্রমকে প্রশাসনিক গাফিলতি বা সিদ্ধান্তহীনতার কারণে নষ্ট হতে দেওয়া যাবে না। স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের এই পদক্ষেপ ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রতি চরম দায়িত্বজ্ঞানহীনতা আর অবহেলার প্রমাণ। আতঙ্ক আর বিভ্রান্তি তৈরি করা নয়, স্পষ্টতা আর সমাধান দেওয়াই সরকারের কাজ।
WBJDF দাবি করছে—এই অন্যায় সিদ্ধান্ত অবিলম্বে প্রত্যাহার করতে হবে, এবং দ্রুত কাউন্সেলিং ও ভর্তি শুরু করতে হবে। বাংলার তরুণ ডাক্তারদের স্বপ্ন প্রশাসনিক উদাসীনতার কাছে বলি হতে পারে না।
WBJDF প্রতিটি পরীক্ষার্থীর পাশে আছে। তাদের লড়াই আমাদের লড়াই। বাংলার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ভবিষ্যৎ রক্ষার প্রশ্নে আমরা নীরব থাকব না।
