স্নাতকোত্তর উত্তীর্ণ ৮৭১ জন যোগ্য চিকিৎসক আজও সিনিয়র রেসিডেন্ট পদে যোগ দিতে না পারায় রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্যব্যবস্থা চরম সংকটে পড়েছে। মেডিক্যাল কলেজগুলিতে চিকিৎসক সংকট দিনে দিনে বেড়ে চলেছে, অথচ প্রশাসনের শীর্ষস্তরে অনুমোদন আটকে থাকার ফলে রোগী পরিষেবার উপর তার প্রভাব স্পষ্ট।
নিয়োগের জটিলতা ও বন্ডের বাধ্যবাধকতার কারণে সিনিয়র রেসিডেন্টরা কোথাও কাজ শুরু করতে পারছেন না। তিন বছরের কর্মঅভিজ্ঞতা থাকা সত্ত্বেও, স্বাস্থ্য ভবনের অপদার্থতার ফলে তারা আজ কর্মহীন।
WBJDF-এর পক্ষ থেকে আমরা রাজ্য সরকারের এই আচরণের তীব্র নিন্দা জানাই ও দ্রুত নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করার আবেদন জানাই!
আমরা মনে করি, আন্দোলনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকাটা কোনও চিকিৎসকের পেশাগত ভবিষ্যতের পথে বাধা হতে পারে না, সুপ্রিম কোর্টও এর বিরুদ্ধে সাফ বার্তা দিয়েছে। তাই আমরা দাবি জানাই, অবিলম্বে সমস্ত বাধা ও অভ্যন্তরীণ জটিলতা কাটিয়ে স্বাস্থ্যব্যবস্থার উন্নয়নের স্বার্থে প্রতিহিংসার রাজনীতি বন্ধ করে মানবিকতার পথে হেঁটে দ্রুত SR নিয়োগ করতে হবে।
WBJDF সব সময় জুনিয়ার চিকিৎসকদের অধিকারের আন্দোলনে পাশে ছিল, আছে এবং থাকবে।

A total of 871 qualified doctors who have completed their post-graduation are still unable to join as Senior Residents, pushing the state’s healthcare system into a severe crisis. Due to delays in approval at the highest administrative level, the shortage of doctors in medical colleges and hospitals has become increasingly evident, directly impacting patient care and causing suffering among patients.
Due to the complications in the recruitment process and the constraints of the bond, the Senior Residents are unable to join work anywhere. Despite having three years of professional experience, they remain unemployed because of the incompetence of the state’s health administration.
WBJDF strongly condemns the actions of the state government and urges them to initiate the recruitment process without further delay.
We believe that being part of a movement should never become an obstacle in the professional future of any doctor. The Supreme Court has also given a clear message against such practices. Hence, we demand that all barriers and internal complications be resolved immediately. In the interest of improving the healthcare system, the politics of vengeance must end, and the path of humanity should be taken to ensure swift SR recruitment.
WBJDF has always stood by the junior doctors in their rightful movement, continues to support them, and will always do so.
