Dear Sir,
In the endeavour to FightCorona, we thank you for the endeavour you have taken and are taking.
On behalf of the Joint Platform of Doctors, West Bengal we will request you to consider the following with a view to have fair, better and clearer understanding of the Corona affected scenario in the state. As far our knowledge, till yesterday about 23 healthcare related personnels have been tested positive, with a number of those being doctors from both Government and Non Governmental health care facilities.
We do hereby ask you to consider the following:
1. Intensive Tests, More Centres
2. All HCWs suspects, contacts even if asymptomatic, must have a test
3.Test order should be simplified at the earliest
4.The results should fast track directly from lab to referring/treating centres
5. Segregation of all suspects/positives in institutional quarantine/isolation/treatment areas.
A lot more pro-activeness is required to deal with care seekers in all healthcare centers, protect the providers with zero compromises on PPE/N95/Masks/sanitizers as required. If the real time scenario is not brought to light and HCWs are not taken in confidence, the ongoing efforts of Lockdown, physical distancing will not be sufficient to contain and will rather lead to further spread in the community.

#TestEverySuspectAtRiskHCW
#SimplifyTestOrders
#ReportToOrderingCentreDirectly
#ReduceReportTime
#Isolate/Quarantine
We sincerely hope that with these measures alongside the others in place, we will be able to achieve satisfying results.
We look forward to hear from you soon in this regard.
Thanking you in anticipation
Yours sincerely,

I did a emergency section today morning . Pt came with handprolapse.initially she didn’t give any history of fever ..on repeated questioning she admitted. On ot table saturation was 85 % and chest had crepts.she came from rajabazar ( hotspot ). I am anxiously waiting for report as I have a 15 months old child, 95 yrs old grandma, 75 yrs old father. Not even gone home and staying in hospital duty room only till I get the swab test result of patient. If I have go to quarantine for any reason who will look after my 2 children in absence of maid.. we had near about 5 to 6 patients coming from hotspot for delivery who had SARI yesterday at NRS. I request Authorities to make testing mandatory for every antenatal mother so that we can work in a stress free environment and can give service efficiently..all of us are getting immensely depressed with only concern of protecting our families.
I urge and beg to look at we healthcare workers and give us some relief regarding testing and quick results
